We will be there. Spent a lot of time today flying the SA and the electric Vista. Sande tried her new indoor Vapor but it was to windy. Flew with the birds. Perhaps tomorrow something new will hit the skies. We will see. Be there at 10:00.

Great day for soaring. Glad you had fun. This late in the season these days are getting few and far between.
Lee and I on the other hand drove out to Bruce's home and tromped around in the briers and thorns in the under brush looking for the missing Blaster that went down during the "Bruce" competition this past August. I hate to report that after about an hour and half of looking we never found a trace of the plane. Even if the corn combine had chewed up the plane I thought we would find something. Scraps or something.
With nothing found maybe, just maybe, it was found when the corn was cut down. We'll see.
Rain will be late tomorrow (or so the weatherman says). How about some flying tomorrow????

No, I didn’t make it to the club field, just went up to my favorite stalled housing development today with the e-Allegro Lite. Finally converted the plane from NIMH batteries to 3S Lipos and built a newer, lighter tail to make up for the lighter batteries. Man that thing was going straight up! So, I was bouncing around on some thermals when 3 turkey vultures wandered over to see what I was doing, I was working a low level bubble, the kind the keeps the plane about 75 ft off the ground, not going up or down, when the 3 birds joined me. Every once in while they would screech and move out of my way, but they seemed to be having fun with it. So I powered up and climbed to about 300 ft and caught a real nice thermal. Up came the birds and before you know it, we were all just specs above the field. After a while, they got bored with me and one by one peeled off and headed East.

To cap it off, as I was in my landing approach a Sherriff pulls up and gets out of his car. Guess someone reported suspicious activity. He was nice enough to let me land, told me to have fun, and drove away.

And Ohio State is beating the team up North. All is right with the world.
