Thanks Ed. Not looking for another 2 meter. The Merlin is way too far
North of my price range right now, that's why I'm looking at the
'transition' planes or something well-used that may never get flown again by
its current owner. I don't mind something like that for my first
full-house. Doesn't need to be competitive or even pretty.
Next season I'll move into something more competitive. Assuming I don't
crash and burn everything this season.

Hummm!
I have a Falcon 600 with servos - $300
I also have a ARF Weston Merlin - 3 Meter - brand new. ...Kevlar fuselage
(Nose Cone needs Paint) - Fiberglass/Carbon wing (No servo cut outs, flaps
and ailerons need cutting out) , V tail - I paid $600.
I have toooooo many planes. I was bring these to sell Sunday. You want first
shot?
I am also bringing an Airtronics Stylus radio. Full house with all bells and
whistles.

Good point on the next date Ed. I forgot all about Toledo. Let's talk it

OK, here is a request for any club members looking to lighten their stock.
I'd like to find one of the early 90's full house ships commonly being
called 'transition' planes. Something like a Falcon 880, Alcyone, Saturn,
Legend, etc. to eventually setup as my first full-house plane. I know there
are newer options like the Spirit Elite, etc., but there is something about
a balsa or obechi covered foam wing that I never got to experience, and I
really like the looks of those ships even compared to the new, state of the
art moldies. If anyone has a never-been-built, slightly used, or a ship
that needs a full restoration, that's fine by me. Let me what you have, and
maybe we can work a deal. Better yet, bring it to the club meeting on
Sunday!

It was COLD yesterday. But there was a warmup contest at the park for
2-channel planes. The next contest will have to be either April 5 or April
19. Easter will fall in between. Also on the 5th Lee and I will be in
Toledo. We will set a date Sunday.
A reminder we have our last official club meeting this coming Sunday at St
James Place. Meeting time is 12:00 Noon. We have several new members and
people looking for old planes and equipment. Take some time this week and go
through your stuff and lets do some swapping.
Future events
April 5 or 15 -2-Channel club contest (Open to anyone)
May 3 Traditional "Day after Derby" Club contest (2-channel???)
May 22, 23,24 Memorial weekend "Mid-South Soaring Championship"
