Our little Lee (page 7 this months MA:-) is now a fully authorized DS'r!

The Frankfort slope was cranking all day, should have set up my 8 hour
yesterday! We flew for 7 straight as it was, but various ships. I had a Pike
Superior, an oldy but goody RNR Synergy Xtail, the Mini Pike that I got from the
boys in CA via Ebay and of course the mandatory one or two minutes of time
wasted with an Easy Glider.

Lee had a converted ex-electric 60" vtail (tower hobby thing), a old 2m
Falcon full house that Ed Wilson had built( and turns out its a slick/quick slope
ship!) and he flew most of my stuff and Tony Utley's combat wing throughout
the day.

He'd been asking about the backside since Bruce likes to wear out the groove
most of the day and I do my humble best, so once we had his stuff tuned up
and checked out, I took over and did a few demo spins, then turned it over to
him. He was nervous because our DS slope has a flat field backside, no dip
to drop into. Its knife edge circles dipping near the ground on the backside of
the circle...with some occasionally really hairy turbulence that threatens
to push your ship down onto terra firma!

"I could'a been a contenda" for my LSF5 8, but instead I was Lee's
friend....as was Tony.

A really good day had by all. It was dark and late when I got him to his
house (his belly full of some Steak and Shake along the way) and while he
wasn't sleeping, he was ready :-).

You should'a been there! ;-)
Gordy
