Didn't happen :-(

Okay here's what did happen....

I got the feeling that this was going to be an LSF task type day of air.
All the indicators were there, and since I'd just got back from Venezuela, I
didn't have much work to do which meant some playing hooky was justified :-)

I contacted Tony Utley and picked up Little Lee for witnesses, Tony is LSF2
and Lee is LSF2 (you need at least two LSF 2's to witness).

I picked up Lee at Ed Wilson's house and he brought the Spirit Elite 100
full house ship which Ed had helped him put together.

Tony brought his Graupner Winch (just enough to get a Supra up).

I had hoped to be out there by 11 but by the time we got there and set up it
was already 1pm.

Ed uses a Stylus and Lee is a JR 9303 kind of guy, so Ed is not familiar
with its programing, so as a result the set up was creative to say the least. I
spent the next hour zeroing linkages, plugging things into the right slots
and setting throws and mixes.

By that time it was already after 2pm. I did a trim flight on his ship and
then put him up with it. We had a talking timer set for 31mins and got him
his hat a bottle of water, a hat and a chair. He hooked up almost immediately
and so I went to work checking out my World's Heaviest Carbon Supra Lite.
for its 2hour task.

Well Lee's 30 didn't work out about 5 or 6 launches worth, which kept me
distracted and the time passing.

Finally I put the Supra up and proceeded to spec out. An hour passed and I
was sitting nicely at about 2,100', which means the Supra is a disappearing
dot in the haze of today's sky. Pretty much no worries in any case....looked
like this one was gonna be history when my cell rings....

Yep, 'She Who Must Be Obey'd' is on the phone wondering where I am and why I
am not there so we can pick up the new washer/dryer we had planned to get at
4pm!!!!!

Damn I looked at the time and it was already 3:45!

The dead silence of my cell phone made it pretty clear that God didn't want
me to finish out that flight, so I zoomed down, caught it, stripped and packed
it and drove like heck to get home...of course acting like it was no big
deal the whole time.... which didn't work out all that well. :-(

So my LSF status is the same....everything but my wins still on the docket.

2 hours is a lonnnnng time!

Gordy
